UEFA for the first time held a Champions League semi-final drawing. UEFA usually determine the team that will compete in the semifinals along with drawing the quarter-finals. The two teams that competed in the semi-finals this time came from two countries, two from Germany and two from Spain. They are Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, FC Barcelona and Bayern Munich.
Interestingly, UEFA also raffle drawing final (that's for sure participants are winners semifinal semifinal 1 and 2). UEFA may conduct drawing the final round to overcome potential obstacles use the same color jersey to determine the team that will act as host.
Here is the draw for the semi-finals and final of the Champions for two week again match.
Semifinal 1 - FC Barcelona VS Bayern Munich
FC Barcelona vs Bayern Munich. Barca and Bayern met in the semifinals of the Champions League four seasons ago and kept going to reach the championship. Bayern beat Barca at the Camp Nou in the 1998/99 season but lost dramatically to Manchester United in the final at the same venue.
Semifinal 2 - Borrusia Dortmund VS Real Madrid
Borussia Dortmund vs Real Madrid. Dortmund and Madrid are already familiar in the Champions League. This season they're fighting in the group phase, with Dortmund ahead with the results of one win and one draw against Madrid. But Madrid winning in 1998 in the semi-final stage against Dortmund. Nuri Sahin will undergo an emotional game in this match.
Meanwhile, the final day was drawing to Dortmund/Madrid vs Bayern/Barca.
Maybe there will be something unique like the following from the draw for the Champions League has been made. Four teams will compete also already know their opponents. Two teams from Germany and two teams of Spanish forces will collide in the semifinals this time. The four are the strongest team in the league, respectively, therefore, the semifinal game this time will be an interesting walk.
Bayern Munich will face FC barcelona, while Dortmund will serve Borussia challenge Real Madrid. There is a potential El Clasico or Der Klassiker at Wembley on 25 May.
